*CLOSINGS*
We follow the Kershaw County School District for all gym delays/closings. If school is delayed or closed due to weather, the gym will follow the same schedule. Generally, for weather-related closings, we do not offer make-up classes.
We also follow the School District's Holiday Schedule.
Tuition, Discounts and Fees
**The annual registration fee of $30 ($35 for team) is non-refundable and non-transferable. As the Session progresses, the registration fee will decrease accordingly. The Family Registration fee is a flat $50 for the entire Session - if you enroll more than one child you are eligible for the Family Registration Fee.
**Please note that if you drop your child at any time during the year, and then decide to re-enroll them, you will have to re-pay the registration fee. It is encouraged to maintain enrollment for the Session you are currently registered for.
**Tuition is due by the 10th of the month or a late fee will be assessed. Please note that when you receive your monthly statement, the late fee will already be added to the bill. Simply deduct the following amount(s) from your bill ($5.00 for one child/$9.50 for two children/$13.00 for 3 children) if you pay it before the 10th of the month. We consider this deduction to be an "early pay discount" when paid before the 10th of the month. ***Please note that it is the responsibility of the payor to deduct the EPC. Payment is considered final upon receipt of your payment.
**A 10% discount will be given to siblings and to children who enroll in more than one class (excluding team and pre-team, which are already significantly discounted).
**A $25 returned check fee will be assessed for all returned checks.
Make-Up Classes
**If your child misses a class, don't worry, every effort will be made to accommodate them in an appropriate class for a make-up. Parents should call in advance to schedule the make-up. A make-up pass will be needed to enter the class. Parents/gymnasts may pick up the pass at the front desk.
**All make-ups should be made within two weeks of the absence.
Drop Policy
**Parents, please remember to notify the gym if your child is dropping a class. Although we bill on a month-to-month basis, we are expecting your child to continue each month unless we are otherwise notified. Please keep in mind that we are a year-round program, and that it is important for your child to remain enrolled throughout the year.
**Since we maintain a low student -teacher ratio and we are holding a place in the class for your child, it is important that you notify the front desk (not the instructor) at least two weeks prior to the month you wish to drop. By doing so, we can then notify other children who are on the waiting list for that class. If you do not notify the front desk that your child is dropping, you will be billed for that month.
**Remember that if you drop your child, and then re-enroll later during the current Session, you will have to re-pay the registration fee.
Transfer To A New Class
**If you need to transfer your child to another class, please notify the front desk. Please note that with some transfers (i.e., a transfer to a higher level) there may be an increase in the class price. You will be billed accordingly.
Trial Class
**Anyone who wants to try out a class at WGC for the first time may do so for free. If the child enrolls after the trial class, the trial class will be counted as the first class when registering. If the child does not enroll, there is no charge for the trial class.
Guests And Visitors
**Visitors are always welcome in class, space permitting and also when it is age appropriate. There is a $10 fee for a 45 minute class; a $12 fee for an hour class; and a $14 fee for an hour and twenty minute class. Please call in advance if possible to let us know you are bringing a visitor.
Parent’s Responsibilities
** Parents need to be on time when dropping off and picking up their children. Being on time for class is important, not only so that the class runs smoothly, but also to ensure that your child gets to participate fully. With respect to pick up times, please remember that many children get anxious when class is over and they don't see mom or dad waiting for them. If there is a problem with picking up your child (i.e., you are stuck in traffic) *please* notify the front desk promptly. **Please let us know if someone other than yourself is picking up your child.
**Please do not vocalize instructions and/or reprimands to your child while they are in class. Doing this distracts your child, and generally disrupts the class. This is a safety issue! If you are concerned about your child's behavior and/or performance during a class, please wait to discuss the matter with the instructor or program director after class.
Lost and Found **Wateree Gymnastics Center, Inc. is not responsible for items left in the gym or lobby. We maintain a lost and found box in the lobby; please check it for your lost item(s) before asking the front desk for assistance. We cannot promise your item(s) will be found.
Illness
**If your child has been sick in the past 24 hours, please do not bring him/her to the gym. **Children must be free of fever, without the aid of medication, for a minimum of 24 hours before participating in class. As with any children's program keeping the children and staff healthy keeps us all happy! **Please do not bring sick siblings into the gym. If they are home sick from school then they should not be brought into the gym, even just to sit in the lobby.
Classes/General Information
**All parents/legal guardians are required to sign the Dual Release Liability Waiver upon registration and before your child can participate in class. This is an insurance requirement and is also a means to inform you that as with any sport or physical activity, there is a risk of injury in gymnastics.
**Please dress your child appropriately for class in clothing (no denim, buttons, zippers, skirts or belts) that they can move in. Leotards are preferred for girls, and snug shorts may be worn over the leotard for older girls. For your convenience, we sell leotards in our Pro Shop. Socks may be worn but bare feet are preferred . T-shirts and shorts (not baggy) are appropriate for boys.
**Please be sure to pull all long hair back away from the face.
**Children should not wear rings, bracelets, anklets, or dangling earrings. If your child does so, he/she will be asked to remove the jewelry. We are not responsible for holding or keeping these items for you child. Also, we are not responsible if the item becomes lost or misplaced. **No gum, food, or drink is allowed in the gym. A water fountain is located in the gym, and children will be given water breaks during class.
**Parents and guests are encouraged to watch classes from the lobby. Never enter the gym unless a coach or staff member asks you for your help. In order to keep the children focused and on task, we discourage interruptions in our classes. However, if for any reason you should need your child, please ask the office personnel for assistance.
**If you are enrolled in a Parent-Tot class and have other children, we ask that you make arrangements for them prior to class.
*Children must not be left unattended in the lobby at anytime. Our staff is very busy and cannot watch your child. While we do have a television and a large lobby area with tables for children and parents to sit and read, etc., please keep this policy in mind when bringing siblings to the gym.
*Private Lesson Cancellations: If you need to cancel a private lesson for any reason, you must give at least two (2) hours notice of the cancellation or you will be charged for the lesson. If WGC needs to cancel the lesson, we will provide a make-up lesson.
**For the safety of all the gymnasts, please do not use flash photography at any time. Special arrangements can be made with the instructors for pictures.
